Lets look at the various products that CloudWalker has to offer for consumers. Currently CloudWalker has 3 Smart TVs available for purchase in India – 55SUA7 (55Inches), 65SUA7 (65Inches), and 43SUA7 (43 Inches)

Each of these TVs has common features with the main difference being the screen size.

CloudWalker 65 Inch TV – Features

The CloudWalker 65 inch TV is a 4K Android Smart TV. It has 3 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports for connectivity. The sound output is 20W and the display panel is an IPS panel. The display supports HDR10.

Talking more about the hardware on-board, the CloudWalker 65SUA7 has a Dual-core A73 ARM Processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM. Also present is a dedicated graphics processor. To simplify these technical terms, the processor is required for all the apps that you will need on your Smart TV while the 8GB ROM is required for storing these apps. The graphics processor is dedicated to displaying images on your screen.

In terms of software, the operating system on the CloudWalker 65SUA7 is AOSP. There are two types of Android Operating Systems available for Smart TVs, one is AOSP and the other is certified Android TV. Now, it is definitely better to have the certified Android TV operating system for your TV since this is the official Google maintained operating system. AOSP while good is not a perfect port and suffers from minor bugs and glitches.

The CloudWalker 65SUA7 also has a dedicated PC mode where the TV can be used as a computer. This feature however, is not very polished and users will be better off using an actual computer or even an iPad instead of the PC mode.

Couple of other features added by CloudWalker on its TVs are a Child Safe mode which displays child friendly content from various streaming apps and an Entertainment mode which displays content from all your streaming media apps.

CloudWalker 65 Inch TV – Our Review

The CloudWalker 65 Inch TV is a decent contender in the 65 inch TV space. There are very few budget TVs available in this screen size and providing a price of close to 50K is a commendable effort.

Some of the good points of the CloudWalker TV are that it has a good operating system and has a decent display and sound capability. If you are using this TV in a large room, we would suggest that you use a soundbar for getting the best audio output. Another great feature is the Child Mode which lets your kids watch only kid friendly content. A password or patten protects them from watching age inappropriate content.

Some of the disappointments on the CloudWalker TV are that the experience of using specific mobile apps on its interface can frustrating. Common and popular apps like Netflix and YouTube do not work perfectly on the TV and you would be better off casting content from your mobile phone onto the TV if you use these apps.

The PC mode again seems like a half baked idea and we cannot imagine too many customers using this.

All in all, this is a decent attempt at a 65 inch TV. Since the company is young, some issues are expected with the TV. If you are looking for a budget option, this is worth a shot. For a slightly higher price, better performers are available.

The second product in CloudWalker’s portfolio is the 55 inch Smart Android TV. Lets find out more about its features and whether you should consider buying it.

CloudWalker 55 Inch TV – Features

The CloudWalker 55 inch TV is a 4K Smart Android TV. It has 3 HDMI Ports and 2 USB ports for connectivity. The in-built box speakers have a sound output of 20 Watts. The display supports HDR 10.

In terms of the on-board hardware on the 55SUX2, the TV has a Cortex A73 Dual-Core processor. It also comes with 8 GB of ROM and 1 GB of RAM. There is built-in WiFi which you can use to connect to your home network.

In terms of software, the CloudWalker TV has Android 7.0 Nougat pre-loaded. This is not the specialized Android TV OS so there are some shortcomings. However, apps like Hotstar, Zee5, Voot, Hungama should play without any trouble. These apps are in fact embedded in the TV and you do not even need to install them. You can also cast content from your mobile phone on to the TV if any of the native apps give you any trouble.

The user interface of the operating system has been made to look like Android TV with scrolling content cards. The content refreshes based on your watching history.

CloudWalker 55 Inch TV – Our Review

The CloudWalker 55 inch TV is a budget offering and this is made amply clear from the moment you unbox it. The construction is a full plastic shell with a thick bottom bezel. There are a good number of connectivity options available on the Cloudwalker with 3 HDMI and 2 USB ports. There is also a LAN port, optical audio, two component in and a headphones port.

Along with the standard remote control, the CloudWalker 55 inch TV also comes bundled with a keyboard and mouse. The quality of all these accessories is average and we doubt that we will ever end up using the keyboard and mouse.

The display of the CloudWalker is supposed to be 4K + HDR. However, during our testing we found that the display is very average and the 4K and HDR do not work that well. The best configuration we found was to keep the HDR setting on and the 4K setting off.

Sound wise, we found the 20W box speakers to be adequate in doing their job of filling up a medium sized room with sound. If you like, you can invest a bit more into getting a soundbar.

The Cloudwalker 55 inch however has good picture quality when you view Full HD content on it. The colors, brightness and saturation are all decent quality. It has a large variety of in-built content apps. Some of the missing apps are Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video. You will need to cast the content from your mobile phone to the TV to view these. This can be a bit annoying and is necessary because the CloudWalker has the AOSP operating system and not the full Android TV Operating system.

For its price, the CloudWalker 55 inch is a decent TV. However, investing 5-10K more will give you a much more polished device.

CloudWalker 43 Inch TV – Features

The next prouct in the CloudWalker portfolio is the 43 inch TV. This is a 4K Smart TV with an Android operating system. It has 3 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports for connectivity.

The sound output from the in-built box speakers is 20 Watts. The display panel is an IPS panel (In-Plane Switching) which are known for high quality and reliability. The AOSP Android Operating System has tons of in-built apps like Hotstar, Zee5, SonyLiv, Voot, Jio Cinema, Eros Now, Hungama, Alt Balaji and more.

In terms of the hardware on-board, the CloudWalker 43 inch TV has 1 GB RAM, 8 GB ROM and a dedicated graphics processor.

Some of the unique features that have been brought into the Smart TV market by CloudWalker also also available on the 43 inch TV. There is a Personal Computer mode where you can use the provided keyboard and mouse to use the TV like a computer. There is also a unique child safe mode where you can lock the content on the TV with a pattern or a password. This will only allow child friendly content to be displayed.

CloudWalker 43 Inch TV – Our Review

The CloudWalker 43 inch TV has the same core features as its bigger colleagues, the 65 inch TV and the 55 inch TV. This is also firmly a budget offering from CloudWalker and is priced to be less than 25K. At this price, while the TV is OK, please do not expect it to be a highly polished product.

The TV body is made of a full plastic shell and the build quality is average. The bottom bezel is thicker than all the other bezels. When it comes to display quality, we would advise that you stick to Full HD content on this TV. The 4K and HDR features are not very polished and the display quality with these on is very average.

The sound volume is adequate for a regular room. The in-built AOSP Android operating system is not Android TV which is far more polished. This AOSP operating system does not have big apps like Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube pre-installed. You will have to cast content from these apps on your mobile phone to the TV, which is a bit annoying. Apart from this, the UI of the TV is quite good and does what it has been designed to do.

Overall, the CloudWalker 43 inch TV is below average and we would advise our readers to invest about 5K more to get a much more polished 43 inch TV.
